BT in the UK is my ISP their cable comes into my study which is on the side the side of a fairly large house and connects to a BT Smarthub 6 router. Currently the desktop and the NAS are hardwired to the router together with a Devolo 1200+ "PowerLine" adaptor which is used to distribute Wifi to the rest of the house.
Feb 24, 2015 · Some BT infinity customers using their Homehub 5s have been having problems with WiFi and internet dropouts. This appears to have been caused by a dodgy software update, to which there is now a Home Hub 1800HG. I had what is described in BT's delivery confirmation email (dated 19 June 2005) as a 'BT Wireless Home Hub 1800', which I understand is a modified 2Wire 1800HG. This seems to pre-date all the models mentioned in the article. Can anyone add a useful description? Mar 16, 2017 · This was a setup, where the HomeHub was inside the network being NATed by another ADSL router. In this case, the HomeHub was only acting as a wifi access point and phone. This may be found in the web interface under: Configuration --> Application sharing --> UPnP Homehub 5, disable SIP ALG. NAT can always be a problem with VoIP.
